Positions Available

 Account Executives -  Colonial's Account Executives focus on bringing our company's Value Proposition (including products and services) to local (and national) businesses. They develop relationships with the clients and our broker partners, assist in initial implementation of the new accounts, and act as intermediaries in providing service and maintaining a productive relationship with our office an ongoing basis.  Individuals interested in this career opportunity should be outgoing, self motivated, self disciplined, and have strong communication and organization skills.  Reliable transportation and travel will be required.  An active FL-215 insurance license is required to work in this position with Colonial Life. (Licensing assistance may be available for the right candidate)
 

Benefit Counselors - Colonial's Benefit Counselors are actively involved in benefits education. They are the professionals who meet (in-person, virtually, or by phone) individually with employees, helping them to better understand all of the benefits their employers offer, and how the various plans work together to provide unique protection for each employee and their families. Trained in Adult Learning Principles and highly educated in both Colonial Life products as well as all Core products offered by outside companies, Benefits Counselors are the patient educators who assist employees through their enrollment process.  Training is provided and an active FL-215 license is required prior to starting with our team.  A Benefits Counselor should have strong communication and personal interaction skills.  Bilingual individuals are needed in many areas. This position may involve travel. Remote work is also available. (Licensing assistance may be available for the right candidate)

Requirements

  • Florida 2-15 insurance license is required to contract with Colonial Life.  
  • Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance is also required.    
  • All representatives are required to have a laptop (Windows 7 or higher), portable printer, cell    phone, and a hot-spot/WiFi access to the internet.

  • Sales Skills – pharmaceutical sales, benefits sales or similar life experience which would enable the individual to interact with other professional and introduce Colonial's benefits and services to potential clients with confidence.

  • Professional in appearance and communication skills  
  • Ability to build rapport with brokers and clients’ staff (at all levels)  
  • Financially Stable – good credit  
  • Organized  
  • Attention to Detail/Accuracy  
  • Flexible 
  • Strategic Problem Solve 
  • Computer Skills – Excel (for reporting), Internet Research Abilities (sourcing leads, staying current on benefits industry), PowerPoint (presentations to potential clients), and Outlook (email).

 Please Note: Our positions are 100% commission based (1099) and include additional bonuses and renewal (residual) income on in-force business. Colonial Life provides all materials, brochures, business cards, and training - at no cost.  Colonial Life - Central Florida District office provides an intensive, in-depth, and proven training program designed to get a new Account Executive up and running quickly with continued local and Home Office support.
